Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi Details:

There is no love issue illustrate in the film and there is no deformation of history in anyway. It pains me to hear these reports about one of the greatest leaders India has seen.
Is this what independence means?

  • We are making a movie which shows the genuine story of the leader Rani Laxmibai.
  • We are open and enthusiastic to show the characters (to people who might have suspicions).
  • We have not anything to hide.
  • We are proud to be making a movie and desire the world to see one of the greatest leaders of India.

Laxmi Bai was a Brahmin and for that reason the organization and group of people have queries as the film is related with Brahmin emotion and feeling, the letter to the producer from the organization read. “No one can even visualize that Maharani Laxmi Bai could have an affair. She died fighting the British at a young age. If a film is to be made on her life, it should be a biopic,” said Mishra, adding that the organization is divergent to indistinct representation of historical figures for profitable motives.
